Manugoro village outside Port Moresby was delighted to be part ofthe 2015 Pacific Games awareness.
The Pacific Games Committee visitedthe community overthe weekend to deliver awareness on howthey will be part ofthe games.
One ofthe spin off benefits includes selling local produce.
The village is located some kilometers outside of Port Moresby city.
The 2015 Pacific Games committee arrived to a small but enthusiastic crowd, eager to know howthey will be part ofthe games.
Some ofthem were fortunate to withnessthe 1991 Pacific Games.
The committee assuredthe villagers thatthey would be participants in ensuringthe games were delivered successfully; one that will indeed leave a lasting legacy for all Papua New Guineas to remember.
Questions were raised on involving raw talent inthe games. The Committee responded notingthe talent identification and ‘go for gold program’ initially mandated tPNG Olympic Committee.
Alsothe Sport Enhancement program backed bythe Sport Ministry is anther way forward to involve as many unsung talent inthe 2015 Pacific Games.
2015 Pacific Games Chief Executive Officer Peter Stewart was accompanlied by his wife and son. He deliveredthe same message delivered to ther communities before and wants many ordinary Papua New Guineas to be part of this event.
