2014 PNG Leaders’ Summit

The 2014 Papua New Guinea Leaders’ Summit will be held at the Gateway Hotel in Port Moresby tomorrow.

The two day event will feature departmental heads, CEO’s and Provincial Administrators from around the country.

 

Discussion will be focused on the 2013 budget performance and 2014 budget delivery strategy.

 

Chief Secretary Sir Manasupe Zurenuoc will officially open the summit. His speech will be based on the impact of good governance on service delivery that is fighting corruption head on to achieve this.

 

Other key sectors included in the summit are, transport and infrastructure, education, health and forestry.

 

Departmental heads and CEO’s of these respective departments are expected to give an update on the progress of their departments.

 

Chief Secretary Sir Manasupe speech will be telecast live on EMTV between 9 am to 10am.

 

The speech by the Prime Minister Peter O’Neill will also be telecast live. PM O’Neill is expected to address the summit on the 10th of February.
