The 2018 PNG Medical Symposium fundraising drive was launched in Madang over the weekend.
The symposium fundraising drive launching has raised a total of K102, 000 for the event which will eventuate in September from the 3rd to the 7th this year. The theme of the symposium for 2018 is ‘Rural and Public Health’.
Chairman of the 2018, Medical Symposium, Dr Vincent Atua, says they are expecting at least 500 medical specialists.
These medical specialists will come from all over PNG including a few international medical specialists.
Dr Atua added they are looking at raising at least K350,000 to host the event.
Modilon General Hospital is the host manager of the event with the support from its partners Divine Word University, PNG Institute of Medical Research and the Madang provincial Health.
