Port Moresby Womenrsquo;s Rugby League Competition is hoping for a successful season as it movers into round 6.

President Elice Siki is confident for the girls to pull off a game to display quality footy action onthe field.

 

It’s a popular sporting code, thoughthe usual crowds are nowhere to be seen when women takethe field. Thankfully this is notthe case for Port Moresby Womenrsquo;s Rugby League. Sheer determination is a way forward for Elice Siki who raised her hand to supportthe competition since 2011.

 

The match begun on a slow pace though withthe support from DigicePNG and Sport vice Minister Labi Amaiuthe competition is optimistic for a better outcome.

 

The competition started in 2011 with 6 teams and increased to 8 in 2012 and now 10 teams participating. Mrs Siki is confident to increasethe teams up to 16 next year.

 

Hohola Flies sealedthe top spot onthe ladder followed by Betterflies.
