The hospitality industry is also creating opportunities for women in managerial roles.
Aida Golu is the Hotel Manager of the new Holiday Inn Express.
She is the first national to hold such a position in the InterContinental Hotel Group circle in the country.
Aida Golu, Hotel Manager of Holiday Inn Express, has 26 years of experience in the hospitality industry. When you talk about hotel services from the front desk to room service, Aida has pretty much done it all.
Assisting Aida run the hotel, is Damaris Duri, Operations Manager. After five years with an IHG hotel, Damaris also worked her way up the ranks.
Both women are in charge of 180 staff members, who all came on board between September and November last year.
They’ve had a hand in the IHG training program to ensure that the Express Hotel’s services are spot on and on the money from day one.
