Women in Business Expo Extends Another Week

by Adelaide Kari – EM TV News, Port Moresby

Travelling all the way from East Sepik province, a group of women from Angoram District have made their way to Port Moresby to attend the Women in Business Expo.

The women brought along with them hand-made products such as baskets, string billums and artefacts to sell at the business expo; however, they were not successful in selling a single item they brought.

This has been the situation for many female entrepreneurs at the Women in Business Expo.

Businesswoman Janet Sape, the head of the organising committee, said that the expo has now been extended until Wednesday of next week.

This is to allow enough time for the women to sell their crafts, especially those who have travelled long distances to reach Port Moresby.

The expo will continue with live entertainment in addition to the market, as an extra enticement for people to attend.
