Westpac has backedthe Pacific Financia lInclusion Programme which expects over eight thousand people to learn to save and use financial products.
The partnership will support and develop branch managers to deliver training to local communities throughoutthe country.
Last week, 25 staff attended a five- day workshop in Port Moresby.
WestpaPNG’s Head of Retail Banking Adam Downie said that by training its own team members, Westpac can acceleratethe delivery of financial education inthe communities.
Money Besics and Financial First Steps workshops teach participants to managetheir income, expenses and savings.
