Air Niugini General Manager, Customers and Markets, Dominic Kaumu says that the Universal Air travel Plan (UATP) Program saves time and cost and is easy and convenient for air travellers.
This is one of Air Niugini’s new programs, already registering 2050 clients that allow corporate organisations and individuals to manage their own accounts.
“So that any corporate client that may have leave entitlements for their staff, can open up a UATP account, park the money and start using it,” Kaumu said.
The Universal Air Travel Plan is an accepted form of payment by airlines worldwide for individuals or organisations to manage their travel effectively through an integrated, automated billing system.
“It gives you the opportunity to track everything you do. So on a weekly basis, you have an email that gives you information of the tickets issued, tickets refunded, who travels and who authorised it. It’s a much cleaner way of managing your travel account,” said Kaumu.
Opening of a Universal Air Travel Plan (UTAP) account is K5,000 for corporate organisations and for individuals is K1,000.
Meanwhile the first winner is Tania Malai, who resides in West New Britain Province.
Ms Malai has won a return ticket for two, to the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM) and was the 2000th winner randomly selected.
