One of the biggest sporting event in the Pacific, the Trukai Fun Run, will mark its 18th year in 2017.
Organised by PNG Olympics Committee, it is used as a tool to generate funds for international sporting events that Team PNG; and with 8 days to the fun run, PNGOC Deputy Secretary Andrew Lepani, is encouraging individuals to quickly grab a T-Shirt.
He says the event is crucial helps generate funds for team PNG and this year won’t be any different.
Four codes, Athletics, weightlifting, swimming and tennis will represent PNG at the Youth Commonwealth Games, from 19th to 23rd July, in the Bahamas.
Attending for the first time, this year, the Asian Indoor and Mixed Martial Arts from 15th to 24th September and will see two competitive sports, swimming and weightlifting, represent PNG.
The last and final event will be the Mini-Pacific games in Port Vila, Vanuatu, from 2nd to 14th December were PNG will send a big contingent of 14 different codes.
The day before the Trukai Fun Run event, PNG Olympics Committee will hold a massive T-Shirt sale here at the water front food world, on Saturday the 10th June, where North Queensland Cowboys representatives, Mathew Scott and Brent Tate will be present to sign auto-graphs to T-Shirts purchased.
