This year’s Fun Run will commemorate the 2015 Pacific Games, coinciding with the Games Triathlon Medal event in Port Moresby.
This will give all participants an opportunity to witness the Games, free of charge.
This announcement comes after CEO of the Games Organising Committee, Peter Stewart, remarked on the Games availability and accessibility for all Papua New Guineans.
Andrew Daubney from Trukai Industy confirmed, this was part of Trukai’s celebration of 40 years of operations, in Papua New Guinea.
Trukai Industry has been one of Team PNG’s major sponsor, and chef de mission Richard Kassman says this initiative will be a great boost, to get the wider population involved in the Games.
Trukai Industry will sponsor 100,000 t-shirts in the PNG Olympic Committee, and all funds raised will be used to support team PNG in their preparations for the Pacific Games in July, and the Youth Commonwealth Games in September.
