Tok Piksa – Episode 21, 2014

In this episode:

As PNG's economy continues to grow and as we hear much about the positive effects of economic development, there is another side to this story. It's a story of ordinary people who have become victims of urban poverty.

The Lae Second Seven Dump has been serving a mere population of people who earn their living through rubbish that comes from Lae's industries. Despite the obvious health risks, many of them haven't made up their minds to leave. Mainly because of the money they make from selling off what they find at the dump.
