Team NCD General Manager, Kila Dick, in a recent interview said, the Team has being pushing to have all twenty four sporting codes come march next year, but will end up only participating in twenty two different codes.
He said this is due to officials not cooperating and coming forward or even showing interest in responding back to the sports desk, there for missing out on two codes, which are softball and Soccer. He said, team’s selections for each code have already been done, and the progress is going well.
Meanwhile with the games being deferred, the team will continue to carry out fundraiser drives, in order to reach their target, a budget of 2 million kina, so that all team officials and athletes are been cared for while in Kimbe.
Mr Dick said, logistics in Kimbe town will be a challenge for the team, as all available transport and including accommodation is a bit of a hurdle, in finding a suitable location, in accommodation the athletes, but it is something they will work on, to make sure that their athletes and officials are safe and secured, before they go out, to play the games.
