Suspension of classes at the Four Square High School in the Wapenamanda District of Enga Province is entering the second week now.
This is as a result of three surrounding tribes fighting over the rape of a female student.
Already three lives have been lost, all youths aged between 15 and 16 years, and several more injured and hospitalized.
Those killed and injured belong to the Miok tribe while the offenders are from former Member, Miki Kaiok’s tribe.
New Member elect for the District, Rimbink Pato has already responded to the situation by calling in police into the district.
Mr. Pato said, he has communicated with the Enga Provincial Administrator on Wednesday to have police man power boosted in the district to protect government properties and for the people’s safety.
