Steamships support NCD Schools Competition

As part of promoting quality learning, NCD education has encouraged all schools inthe City to take part in outside of classroom learning.

Some ofthe activities are essay and debate competitions on certain topics.

This yearthe Department of Environment and Conservation and partners choseWorld Environment Dayasthe topic.

Partnering withthe Department of Environment and Conservation in this year’s school debate and essay competition isthe Steamship Trading Company Limited.

Steamship Trading Company Limited hopes it will enhancethe student’s research skills and have a better understanding of protectingthe environment.

There will be three categories of contestoBest Environmentally friendy school contests, essay competitions for grades 9 to Gr12, and a school debate for secondary schools.

The debate and essaythemes are in line withthe 2013 NationalWorld Environmental Dayheme; “EatoThink and Save”.

The contest started on Monday 6th May and will end onthe 28th.

Nine Primary schools and eight secondary schools will participate inthe competition.
