Catholic faithful in West New Britain flocked the Hoskins Airport to welcome the International Pilgrimage Statue of Mother Fatima.
Hundreds lined-up, while some knelt to receive the statue of Mother Fatima. Also present to welcome Mother Fatima was West New Britain Governor, Sasindran Muthuvel.
Governor Muthuvel said the visit shimmers hope as the province faces drought.
He said he is humbled to welcome our Mother Fatima who will bring changes and solutions not only to political turmoil but to enrich spiritual lives.
The Governor contributed K20,000 to support the Fatima Home Visitation Program which left for Ulamona Parish in the East Nakanai (Bialla) LLG which is the host parish of the international pilgrimage.
Mother Fatima will be in the province until November 25 during which she will visit different catholic parishes in West New Britain.
Governor Muthuvel appealed to the general public, especially youths, to take ownership and utilise the chance to join to honour and worship when Mother Fatima comes to their respective parishes.
