Sports Development in Papua New Guinea has become a crucial key area among other development areas in the country.
Australia’s Deputy High Commissioner to Papua New Guinea, Bronte Moules, recently congratulated Cricket PNG representatives, CPL PNG Lewas’ players and captain of PNG Hebou Barramundis, Jack Vare for their national and international successes.
While speaking to the teams and the visiting Cricket Legends, Moules stressed on developing all sports in the country including cricket and how sports development can be used as a tool in today’s society.
Apart from the many development programs around the country, sports is one of Australia’s key areas. Each year, funds are allocated to sports development programs in the country.
According to Moules, the programs will continue to roll out, and more sporting legends in different sporting codes will be encouraged to visit PNG to embrace the culture of sports in the country.
