Following last weekend’s thrashing by the North Queensland Cowboys, the South Sydney Rabbitohs suffered their second loss in a row, this time at the hands of the Cronulla Sharks.
Rabbitohs went down to the Sharks 18 points to 10. Rabbitohs were chasing a victory against the Sharks to redeem their poor performance last weekend.
The Cronulla Sharks were not going to give the Rabbitohs the easy way out, racing to a 10 point to 4 lead in the first half.
The second half saw the Sharks extend their lead with a penalty, 12 points to 4.
However, South Sydney through Chris McQueen scored from a Luke Keary grubber on the 54th minute.Issac Luke added the extra’s and cut down the Sharks lead 12 – 10.
With the game looking to go anyone’s way, Jayson Bukuya scored near the posts from a Michael Ennis kick and Valentine Holmes makes no mistakes extending the Sharks lead 18 points to 10.
The Cronulla Sharks held on to the 8 point lead to claim victory over the South Sydney Rabbitohs. and see’s them jump to 10th on the NRL points ladder.
