Robots in PNG

Robots in PNG could bring a revolution to curriculum-based learning in PNG. This is in the hope of bridging the gap of Information Communication Technology illiteracy in the country.

Introduced to PNG by Rural Tech Development (RTD), the PNG Education Robotic Lab (PERL) technology is a revolutionary electronic gadget that operates through simple program coding to make subjects like mathematics and science more practical and understandable.

This will mean improved learning capabilities in school by changing the approach to curriculum-based learning with the help of Artificial Intelligence.

RTD Managing Director, Shahram Honarzad, said PERL will enable a learning environment that sparks passion for high-tech skills with students and teachers across PNG.

Mr Honarzad believes Robotics can play an important role in the education system value chain, which can result in an improved quality in education and learning in computer programming, mathematic, engineering and science.

Shahram said he hopes Robots will soon become a familiar face in schools and a teaching partner for young students.
