Researchers to expedite North Fly’s Hindenburg Wall

The Wildlife Conservation Society is heading a team of local and international researchers, for a major expedition that will bethe first ever detailed study ofthe Hindenburg Wall inthe North Fly district of Western Province.

The landform is a series of almost vertical walls up to 2km high, stretching approximately 50km acrossthe Star Mountains. 

The survey is likely to uncover over one hundred species of new flora and fauna.

The Hindenburg wall is one ofthe last great wild places inthe world, unique and of incredible natural value.
