Komo-Magarima MP, Francis Potape, has welcomed the Supreme Court decision by Justice, Bernard Sakora, yesterday.
In a statement, Potape says the decision is satisfactory but warned Hela Governor, Anderson Agiru, not to use devise tactics such as recognising the 5 failed LLG’s in Hela.
Potape said Mr Agiru will maintain the power but not to add or remove any members of the Hela Provincial Assembly.
Potape says Agiru does not have powers to reinstate the 5 failed LLG presidents under the Leadership Code.
The Komo Magarima MP has also called on public servants in Hela to remain neutral and perform their duties.
“The internal politics must not be seen as a reason for public servants not to work”, Potape said.
Potape said no assembly meeting will be held and current members are 14, and not 19, as stated by Agiru in one of the dailies today.
He says, Agiru will maintain power until the substantive proceedings will be held on the 19th of February.
