In recent months, the interest in football throughout the country has grown exponentially.
This is following the success of the NSL clubs at the international stage and the PNG mens performance at the nation’s cup.
Following the launching of the under 20 women’s world cup winner trophy, OFC President, David Chung, now believes that PNG can also host other major football events.
The country is now gearing up to host a major sporting event such as the under 20 women’s world cup, and with the facilities being upgraded for the tournament.
It is only inevitable for Papua New Guinea to attract even more world class sporting competitions.
