Attorney General and Justice Minister, Ano Pala, today filed a No Case Submission before Committal Court Magistrate, John Kaumi.
Magistrate Kaumi adjourned the matter to May 27, to give enough time for police prosecutors to respond to the submission.
It is alleged that Pala consented with the Solicitor General to prevent police from arresting Prime Minister, Peter O’Neill, last year.
The Attorney General has denied the charge.
Meanwhile, in a separate matter, he will appear in the Waigani Committal Court today, charged with 15 counts of abuse of office and 15 counts of misappropriation of public funds, totaling over K3.19 million.
