By Mickey Kavera – EM TV, Port Moresby

Relatives of the two brothers alleged to have been killed in a hit and run incident in Popondetta, a month ago, burnt down several houses at Girua yesterday.

The relatives retaliated as such, after police apprehended the elder brother of the deceased and detained him at the Popondetta police cell.

The two brothers were killed on Saturday 1 November, 2014, exactly twenty-four days ago, from today; however, their families have yet to receive word of investigations carried out by police, into their deaths.

It was alleged that the brothers were killed between the hours of two and five in the morning; their lifeless bodies found lying on the street.

According to the family of the deceased, police have yet to disclose information pertaining to the homicide case, even though post mortems were carried out on both the individuals.

They say that police have to come clean on their finding to put a closure to this horrific ordeal.

The funeral service of the deceased will be held on Thursday, with the burial to follow.
