In this episode:
We highlight the current HIV/AIDS status of PNG. Since the first diagnosis 29 years ago the epidemic spread like wild bush fire. There have been numerous campaigns by responsible authorities targeting HIV/AIDS and how vital it is to be tested and get treated.
We place emphasis on the most at risk population which includes sex workers, men who have sex with men (MSM) or transgender people. Some transgender people were brave enough o talk to the Olsem Wanem team on the challenges they face when accessing health services.
We also discuss the Test and Treat campaign by an organization called Kapul Champions as well as the 2016-2021 UNAIDS strategy 90-90-90.
