A final decision by the National Executive Council regarding outstanding payments for NCD education service providers will be handed down on Monday.
The contractors say that if proper procedures were followed by beauracrats in the Education Department, all payments should have been processed.
They say the blame is not on Education Minister, Nick Kuman and Secretary Dr Michael Tapo, but the officers processing and handling the payments.
Chairman of the NCD Education Outstanding Committee, William Ebenosi, said incompetent public servants should be sacked if they are not capable of doing their job.
It is understood that some outstanding claims have been paid to NCD education contractors, but none to contractors who worked at the National Library and Archive.
Today, the service providers were supposed to meet Education Minister Nick Kuman and Secretary Tapo but the meeting did not eventuate.
The contractors say if their plight is left unattended, they will consider the closure of some schools in NCD.
The contractors will continue to camp in front of Fincorp Haus until their payments are sorted out.
