Morobe Show Clean-Up

Contractors beganthe tedious task of cleaningthe Lae show grounds after two days of festivities.

 

More than 50 thousand people   from all overthe country attendedthe Morobe’show that saw some ofthe best displays of culture and business.

Withinthe grounds and aroundthe outside perimeter ofthe show grounds are rubbish left behind asthe memories ofthe weekend’s festivities.

 

A farmer from Nasuapum inthe Huon district saysthe show is done and he is happy to go back home but needs to find transport.

 

“I have to go find transport atthe Market bus stop,” he said.
 

He has been taking part inthe show sincethe 1990’s.

 

ther small stall owners have come away making a significant amount of money fromthe sales attheir stall.

 

Major sponsors Coca-Cola Amatil were also out packing up gear fromthe show, salesmen estimate thatthey sold around one hundred thousand cartons.

 

Prima Small Goods did better than last year’s show, for the two days, both companies made more salesthenthe previous years.
