Lae Police To Beef Up Security At Digicel Cup Grand Final

It was double victory for the Boroko Motors when they registered their second win in the Lae Yacht Club Dart competition.

Boroko Motors’ Team 2 defeated Mainland Holdings Team 1 in the round two games last night.

 

In the elimination game of round two, Mainland Holdings defeated BNG Trading, while Lae Yacht club went down to Boroko Motors in a thrilling finish. 

 

The games last night started off with Boroko Motors taking on Lae Yacht club and Mainland Holdings up against BNG Trading.

 

Mainland Holdings led by Jacques Holl and Mary Lifu took on a commanding lead checking out at BNG Trading on 80 points.

 

In the other game, amateurs Lae Yacht club came from behind to scare Boroko Motors before going down the wire losing the game.

 

In the eliminations, Mainland Holdings started on a high note with Mary Lifu and Josepha Kaisa checking out notable points for their team.

 

However a determined Boroko Motors combination of Jason Shroj, Garry Hailwood and Lyall Scott turned the tide around for their side to win the game.

 

The competition, being into its second week, has not only attracted a lot of interest but has built relationships among the players.

 

While taking part in the competition, it also gives them an opportunity to mingle and share ideas and work on related issues among themselves.

 

Boroko Motors team 1 and 2 following their successful wins have booked their final berths.

 

However another 12 teams still remain in the competition and will be playing in the next three weeks to determine another three weekly winners for the finals.

 

The four teams who will be competing in next week’s games are Riback Stevedores, Col Flattery and team, Lae Builders and Contractors and the Lae Media team.
