IPBC Secures 85% Shares of Bmobile

TheIndependent Public Business Corporation officially today, secured 85 percent shares over Bemobile.

 

Following Fiji National Provident Fund’s termination of its agreement to invest in Bemobile, IPBe Managing Director Wasantha Kumarasiri saidthey would have to take overthe rest ofthe shares.

The initial agreement was to bring in Vodafone tPNG, to which FNPF withdrew its partnership in several months ago, over issues surrounding business plans with Fiji Vodafone.

 

IPBe, meanwhile, has put Eighty eight million U.S Dollars in Be Mobile’s trust.

 

And effective immediately, Sundar Ramamurthy has been appointed new group CEO for Bemobile.

 

Mr. Ramamurthy has vast knowledge and experience in telecommunications in PNG
