Identifying Morobe’s Union Talents

The scrum oval in Lae, Morobe Province has hosted a two-week fitness training to identify young talented players.

School children with age ranging between 7 and 16 years participate inthe event. 

The outstanding players will undergo futher training underthe scrum oval youth program.

Scrum Oval in Lae remainsthe main venue that has been keen empower young talented players in rugby union.

This week marks anther milestone. School children as young as seven years old participated in a two weeks training that aimed to identify talented young players.

Coordinator Robin Tarere saysthe numbers ofthe participants have steadily increased since Monday.

Rugby Union continues to maintain its stand as one ofthe outstanding sporting code inthe country.

The training ended yesterday butthe selection will be made for youth development program to find a spot in Morobe Rugby Union team.
