National Women’s Rugby Team, ICTSI South Pacific PNG Palais, will be representing the country at the Sydney and Hong Kong legs of the HSBC 7’s respectively.

Preparations are going well, with the team now under new management.

The national women’s rugby sevens team, the Palais, qualified for the Sydney and Hong Kong legs of the HSBC 7s.

The ICTSI SP sponsored team began preparations for these two tournaments soon after returning from the Oceania Rugby Seven’s in Fiji.

Training continued up until last week, with players now taking a few days off.

They will resume ahead of their tournament in Sydney, with the final traveling squad yet to be confirmed.

Rapilla added that having the presence of international players will help boost the team’s morale and more so performance.

Whilst 2018 has been a tough year for both players and management, things are finally started to look promising for the future of the Palais.

The Sydney and Hong Kong Legs of the 7’s series are critical, as they will determine the Palais placing in the overall 7’s World circuit.
