Hunters Maintain Third Spot

The SP PNG Hunters still maintain their position in third place on the Intrust Super Cup ladder, after Sunday’s 30-20 win against the Burleigh Bears.

After the Bear’s loss, they now drop down to second place behind the Redcliffe Dolphins.

Redcliffe took over the top spot after beating East Tigers 28-22.

From 20 games played, the Hunters are on 32 competition points with 14 wins, six losses and two byes.

The top five teams are: Redcliffe Dolphins, Burleigh Bears, SP Hunters, Townsville Blackhawks and East Tigers.

The Hunters have three more games before the finals. They travel to Cairns this weekend to take on the Townsville Blackhawks, and the following weekend they take on Northern Pride in Barlow Park.

The final match for the season will be a home game against the Sunshine Coast Falcons.
