Hekari United hammed Erema Gulf FC 9 goals to 3 in a trilling encounter over at the Bisini grounds today.
Hekari fullback turn striker Koriak Upaiga and lone striker Tommy Semmy lead the charge with both men scoring a hat rick.
Erema Gulf FC found themselves up against the Telikom National Soccer League giants Hekari United in round eight yesterday.
Hekari were first to post points on board through Striker Tommy Semmy and Koriak Upaiga and Sammy Campbell.
Erema started slow but soon picked up the pace and replied with a goal by Gary Moka and striker Tau Wini coring two .
Hekari however, dominated the second quarter of the match with counter attacks putting Erema Goal Keeper Michael Miro on the back foot on numerous occasions, before adding another two points on the board to lead by 5 goals to 3 at half time.
The second half was all Hekari , mounting pressure on Erema’s backline defence with floorless attacks by Tommy Semmy and Koriak Upaiga.
In the midfield Captain David Muta directing traffic, combining well with Wira Wama to set up Semmy and Upaiga.
Hekeri’s Rodney Mobia also join the action from the bench to add a goal to his name.
As the match went on the contest became increasingly physical, and a number of challenges saw players receive final warnings,
Erema resorted to some long shots but never found success. Coach Jerry Allen, said his team lacked a bit of composer in the first half but regained controlled in the second half and complemented the team for the effort in the full 90 minutes of the game.
Hekari rapping a comfortable victory over Erema now remains unbeaten after round eight of the Telikom National Soccer League.
