Following a stellar pre-season from NRL turned NFL star Jarryd Hayne, the 27-year-old has struggled since the official season has started.
However, many blame the club for not providing him enough opportunity.
The Australian has been dropped his the San Francisco 49ers, which has come as a surprise to all.
In a statement released by the 49ers they promoted Kendal Gaskins, and in order to make room on the team, a decision was made to waive Jarryd Hayne.
In his transition to the NFL, the pre-season saw him draw attention, and his future in the code looked promising.
After the announcement of being cut loose, rival clubs have been given a set period of time to be able to pick him up.
Hayne’s Australian agent says the former NRL star is committed to the NFL and has no plans on returning to rugby league following the set back.
