Hammers Wins Hebou Shield

Hebou Western Hammers outplayed a gallant Digara Nothern Diggers to claimthe 2013 Hebou Shield Tournament by 25 runs.

Digara Diggers were lucky enough to get away with a win against Pacific MMI Marlins earlier to bookthe grand final spot.

Pacific MMI Marlins were 6 down for 144 afterthe 20 overs with Ratu Maha high scoring with 49, Assad Vala and Charles Amini 19.

Digara Diggers werethe better side asthey declared 5 for 150 after 17.3 overs.

Heni Siaka scored 47 not out and took 2 for 23 when he took upthe ball. Sese Beu and Lega Siaka performed well for team with 33 by 5 wickets.

The Diggers fought hard butthe loss of regular wickets didn’trsquo;t helptheir cause as Hebou Hammers wrapped upthe hebou Shield T20 Tournament.

Man ofthe match was awarded to Mahuru Dai for his 28 runs, took one wicket for 14 and had a brilliant time inthe field taking four catches.
