The Acting Provincial Administrator of Western province, Doctor Modowa Gumoi is out on K20,000 bail.
Dr Gumoi was arrested and charged for misappropriation late yesterday afternoon.
He was held for an hour at the Boroko holding cell and released upon payment of his bail.
Dr Gumoi is the third person from the provincial administration to have been charged for misappropriation.
On Monday, Western Governor Ati Wobiro was also arrested and bailed on the same charge. Wobiro spent at least four hours in a Boroko police holding cell before he was released on K20,000 bail.
However, Norman Mey was the first to be charged. Mey was also released on a K10,000 bail last month.
All three men were charged K7 million for defrauding monies belonging to the Fly provincial government. These monies were given by the national government as provincial and district support improvement program funds.
