Geua John has won her seventh consecutive Coca Cola National Women’s snooker title.
She defeated fellow PNG representative Helen Samuel 4-1 in the best of seven frames final at the Port Moresby Country club on Sunday.
The Porebada lass lost the first frame 45 – 52, then came back strongly to win the second frame 42-40 on the black ball in a tight contest before pulling away to win the next three comfortably 57-24, 60-13 and 73-32.
John seeded number one after the group games beat former champion Agnes Mawi 3-0 in the best of five frames semifinals earlier in the day.
The most outstanding player was awarded to newcomer on the snooker table Isabella Nou. The Plate was won by Stella Paru when she defeated Susan Tiki 2-0.
Geua John made the highest break of 22. The best dress award went to Linda Gedisa for the second consecutive year.
