With four days to the pro-boxing event on January 29, Niugini Professional boxing association has been busy with its fighters training.
The one day event is to promote the code of boxing, and pro-boxing, as young and upcoming boxers who will one day look into professional boxing and make a name for themselves.
The event is set to see 16 professional fighters step into the ring, and will fight against each other in their respective category with a total of six bouts.
Many of these fighters started as amateur fighters before making their way up to professional boxing.
While the event is organised to promote pro boxing in the country, Niugini Professional Boxing Association is hoping that, government and private sectors will recognise the interest of pro-boxing, and that the federation can also lend a helping hand in promoting pro-boxing in the country.
Tickets for the events can be purchased at main shopping centres, or presold at K10 and K15 at the gate, while tables during the event are going for K500.
The one day event takes place on January 29, at the Sports Inn club.
This event will be a lead up to the 2017 season.
