The Fiji Pearls have topped their pool following the group stage of the 2015 Netball World Cup in Sydney, Australia. The Fijians came out on top ahead of Scotland, Barbados and Sri Lanka.

The Peals are currently ranked seventh in the world, and qualified for the world cup after placing first in the Oceania qualification tournament last year in Cook Islands.

This marks their fifth consecutive world cup appearance.

The Fijians thrashed Sri Lanka on day 5 of the event, 77-31, and then followed this with an 11 goal victory over Barbados and a six goal win against Scotland.

Meanwhile, Netball world giants Australia, New Zealand, England and Jamaica are battling it out for for a spot in the semi finals.

Australia will take on Wales at 8.20pm this evening, New Zealand should have an easy four quarters against Uganda at 6.20pm, and England and South Africa will play at 4.20pm this afternoon.

Jamaica is the only Caribbean nation left with a chance to book a spot in the semi-finals, after defeating Uganda last night 44-35.
