As part of its continuous support to the PNG Cancer Foundation’s Healthy Teens School (HTSP) program, ExxonMobil PNG has contributed K165, 000.
Since 2014, ExxonMobil has supported the Cancer Foundation and continues to support the foundation in its cancer education and awareness programs.
This year’s contribution now adds to a total of K269, 700.
The contribution will support the Healthy Teens School Program to roll out its cancer education and awareness programs in schools.
Papa Lealea, Hanuabada, Baruni, Boera, Tatana, Porebada, Port Moresby, Hides and Moro are some of the schools that will see the cancer education program.
Early this year, the Healthy Teens School Program rolled its 2017 education program in Lae, Morobe Province. The workshop attracted many school students as well as the locals.
Other beneficiary provinces of the HTSP program includes Milne Bay, West New Britain and Port Moresby.
From this, the total number of students reached has increased.
With this partnership, ExxonMobil PNG Public and Government Affairs Manager, Daniel Worrall said, “ Together we can educate the younger generation on how they can take action to maintain a healthy lifestyle and reduce their risk of developing cancer”.
He was supported by PNG Cancer Foundation CEO, Dadi Toka Jnr who commended ExxonMobil for its continuous support on the fight against cancer.
Toka Jnr said ExxonMobil is a great supporter of the works of the foundation and will continue this partnership to expand its awareness programs to many schools as possible.
