The driver of a Cement Mixing vehicle had escaped major injuries after he lost control of the vehicle he was driving, collided into an oncoming vehicle and broke down the fence of the SVS shop at Harbor City, Port Moresby.

When EM TV arrived at the scene, employees from Ready Mix were about to remove the vehicle which had plunged into the SVS fence.

Witnesses told EMTV News, the vehicle was travelling at high speed from Burns Peak and onto Konedobu, when it’s breaks failed and crashed into the Curtain Brothers’ Sand and Gravel Compound, beside the freeway.

“The incident happened at 10 O’ Clock this morning and removed a guard house belonging to Curtain Brothers,” a witness said.

Fortunately, no one was injured during the crash.

This same road at Konedobu is one area which has recorded a number of road accidents in the past.
