Day three of the competition for swimming and PNG has carried on its medal winning streak since day one, with more medals expected to come from this evening’s finals, scheduled forv 6pm.
Crowd favorite and PNG’s number one swimmer Ryan Pini, is looking forward to his gold medal performance, third time around for PNG.
Day 3’s events for swimming kicked off early this morning with the preliminary events – starting off with the women’s 50 metre breaststroke heats, one to three. Followed by the men’s 50 metre breaststroke, men’s 100 metre freestyle and men’s 400 metre freestyle.
Papua New Guinea will have seven swimmers who will take part in the Heats Finals from this morning, including Ryan Pini, who’s already eyeing his third gold in this evening’s events.
Starting his career in swimming five years ago from Madang, is Samuel Seghers, who’s also representing Papua New Guinea in the finals this evening.
Finals for this morning’s preliminary events has already kicked off at 6pm.
