Day2 ofthe Senior Digicel National Netball Championships heated up yesterday with over ten centers participating.
Lae has come in full force to stealthe title but it’s provern a tough two days so far.
Lae’s secret weapon Nettie Sao was put down by a youthful Central outfit in a tight tussle.
Central led 11-6 at half timethen came back to scrape through beating Lae 17-15 at full time.
President oPNG Netball thanked sponsors and all ther centers for attendingthe championships.
ther centres participating include East New Beitain, Kerema and Western.
Next year’s championships will be staged in West New Beitain.
The 2013 Digicel National Netball Championships is a stepping stone towards 2015 and beyond especially withthe re-election of President Julienne Leka Maliaki,the code of Netball can look forward to greater things ahead.
