Sumkar MP, Chris Nangoi has prioritised communication as an important link to development in the district.
According to the local MP, communication will improve performance for the provision of goods and service delivery.
One immediate plan for the Sumkar MP is to clean up the district administration to restore public trust and confidence.
With a wealth of experience from the private sector, Mr Nangoi’s first move is to roll out his communication strategy on Karkar Island, with the setting up of email services and CUG phones to the management team at Kinim Station.
With the decentralisation of administrating powers and funding support, Mr Nangoi believes setting up a proper communication link, will help to improve performance for gradual developments to take place, so people can become active recipients of goods and service delivery.
Project progress monitoring will be his biggest challenge in ensuring all program managers follow established reporting lines.
For the provision of goods and services, Nangoi has pledged to work in close consultation with the District administration.
