Coca-Cola Ipatas Cup Begins Selection for Finals in February 2019

The Coca-Cola Ipatas cup has begun the process of rewarding teams from provincial qualifiers.

The first batch of qualifiers received their golden passes for the competition finals, which will take place in February 2019.

The first play-offs of the Coca-Cola Ipatas Cup began in Jiwaka, with Banz Bull and the Minj Bulldogs each receiving Golden Tickets for the CCIC Finals in February.

Over the weekend, NCD, Central, and Hagen played their final rounds, where gold passes were also given to the top two teams in respective pools.

Lae will host play-offs from the 21st the 24th where teams from Bulolo and Lae city will compete.

Ramu, Kainantu, Yonki and Markham will play in the Kainantu qualifiers.

Mendi will host the Southern Highlands challenge from 28th to 30th were one team in the tournament will be selected to represent Southern Highlands.

For the New Guinea Islands, Kimbe will host the tournament, as the latest franchise entry to the Inter-City competition next year.

For the first time, Western Province will feature in the CCIC, with qualifiers to be held in Tabubil and Kiunga.
