Trade, Commerce and Industry Minister and Chuave MP, Wera Mori, says his district will be pushing forward, with the development of a limestone project, that will complement upcoming mines and other construction, in the country.
Mr. Mori said the government spent close to K20 million over five years on consultants, who supposedly conducted feasibility studies with little tangible results.
The limestone sourced from Simbu is expected to end up at the upcoming Wafi-Golpu project, Lihir, and other projects if construction is completed.
He says the project is important for Simbu Province, which has a limited income base.
