BREAKING: All three Oro MPs in Opposition after Masere joins camp, official headcount at 63

All three Oro Province MPs are now  in the Opposition camp after Ijivitari MP, Richard Masere, went to the Laguna Hotel this morning. Masere was welcomed by Tari Pori MP, James Marape, and other Opposition MPs.  Masere now joins Oro Governor, Gary Juffa and  Henry  Amuli who returned to the opposition after leaving the camp. “This is the time for Peter O’Neill to move on as Prime Minister. We have like-minded leaders who are mostly first and second term members of Parliament,” James Marape said. Masere said he made the decision on his own free will after listening to the demands from  his people over the last three weeks. “There are like-minded  leaders still in the government and by me coming here, demonstrates the need for change.” On Friday, the PNC led coalition  suffered its biggest blow when Hagen MP and State Enterprises Minister, William Duma, moved over to the Opposition with other senior ministers. The move was made possible after the Opposition created an alternative  leadership void when James Marape stepped down as the Opposition’s nominee for Prime Minister.]]>
