The Hebou PNG Barramundis won their final 50 over match in the South Australia Cricket Association (SACA) Premier League on Sunday.
Chasing 261 for victory, the Hebou PNG Barramundis got off to a brilliant start with openers and landed themselves 79 runs for the first wicket.
Then strong Eastern Edge bowlers pegged back the Barramundis and left the visitors in trouble at 6/151.
Mahuru Dai single handily took the game apart to smash a whirl-wind 74 runs off just 37 balls.
Dai’s innings consisted of eight (8) boundaries and two (2) massive sixes and he was well supported down the lower order by Chad Soper who guided the Hebou PNG Barramundis to a win off the last ball.
This victory against the Eastern Edge moved the Hebou PNG Barramundis to second position after finishing the SACA Premier League 50 over Competition with three (3) wins, two (2) losses and a draw.
The Hebou PNG Barramundis are now in Adelaide, to take on the Northern Territory Strike for two (2) 2-Day fixtures.
