Badihagwa and Tokarara Secondary Schools receive a helping hand from KPMG

In Port Moresby today, a new partnership was formed between two secondary schools and KPMG. As part of the company’s Corporate Citizenship program, KPMG donated furniture to Badihagwa and Tokarara Secondary Schools’ respectively. KPMG says this donation is the first of continued support to schools.

Two separate donations of furniture were made by KPMG to Badihagwa Secondary and Tokarara Secondary. The first batch – 10 filing cabinets were given to Badihagwa Secondary school. The second donations were made to Tokarara secondary school. The filing cabinets will be used in the school administration block.

KPMG partner, Herbert Maguma, addressed the students of Tokarara Secondary, saying KPMG aims to inspire confidence and empower change in students. He says knowledge is power and it goes hand in hand with education and students must set up their future.

A happy principal for Tokarara Secondary extended his gratitude to KPMG for the donation to his school. Principal, Gabriel Manga, stated that it was not every day that they get kind these kind of gestures. He added that the furniture was much needed and the school will put them to good use.
