Communities at ATS in Port Moresby will now have excess to fresh water supply at a cost of One Million Kina.
An important formality onthe project was completed on Wednesday.
“This isthe start and I’m waiting for the our Member to launch his development plan for Moresby North-East so we can jointly work togther and deliver basic services tothe district in north-east,” said NCD Governor Powes Parkop.
Electorate Member Labi Amaiu saidthe dialect between his office, Eda Ranu and NCD is significant for the delivery of such service.
“We are now going to withness this significant occasion to actually presentthe cheque to make sure thatthese services can be provided to our people of ATS settlement in Moresby North-East,” said Amaiu.
Chairlady of Eda Ranu Beard Mary Karo said Eda Ranu is happy to carry out similar approach to ther centres inthe city.
“It’s good to note thatthe Governor is supportingthe initiatives ofthe Open-Members and we asthe service providers of water and sewerage at Eda Ranu are very happy to be working togther with members of parliament,” said Mary Karo.
Work will commence soon by Eda Ranu workers.
