Asians Arrested for Breaking Liquor Laws

All citizens of this country whther nationals or expatriates, will have to abide bythe laws of Papua New Guinea

PPC Kalat madethese comments followingthe arrests of Asians in Madang for breaking liquor laws.

 

Recentlythe Madang District Court found guilty one distributor of Three Line – FortuneInvestment’s Limited – one thousand kina fine and seventy cartons forfeited tothe State.

 

Another distributor at New Town is likely to be slapped similar charges.

 

Despite conflicting instructions from provincial government authorities, PPC Kalat said police will continue to uphold laws to maintain peace inthe communities.

 

Madang residents also supportthe ban as means to curb law lawlessness inthe province.

 

The Madang Liquor Licensing Commission it will continue to take those distributers who don’t comply with laws regulations.
